a new beginning; a new year's resolution and a strengthened dream. a compromise must be made. (part one)

It's now 00:27 on my phone clock, 3rd january 2009. On my ipod speakers PROUD by DBSK is set on repeat. it is a song that i will never get tired of listening to. it gives me strength to believe in my dreams, to dare to dream, to reach out and try and grasp it, attempt i, believe in it. Yet it also makes me question myself. Will I be willing to endure the hardship, pressure, work, sacrifce this dream of mine would bring? Would I be willing to leave the comfort of my family and friends' love and supportjust to chase this dream of mine? Would all my sacrifice be worth it in the end? Even as i am writing this, I question myself, would i have enough self-discipline, enough motivation to practice, to hone and to master the craft of which my dream revolves around? Would i even make past the first stage? Would my parents allow this spoilt and pampered child of theirs to venture off on her own, without their watchful eye over her? Would i even gather the amount of strength, discipline and motivation that i need to work hard for this year, to show my parents that i am independant and that I would be mature enough to stand on my two feet alone? And even if I could, i would still need to find the answer for the question on whether i would be willing to leave the warmth of my family and friends to go off into an alien world in which everyone would be a complete stranger? Earlier on in the night, I had confided in an old friend. My tita lorna, the lady who helped my mum take care of me since the day i was born till the middle of the year i was 11. I thank her for her understanding, her advice & her encouragement towards me chasing my dream. Even though she was a domestic helper, she had seen me grow up, she has understood my character through and through. And sometime, it is with prickling to my conscience that i wonder if she knows me better than my parents do. This entry is dedicated whole-heartedly to Tita Lornma. Thank you Tita for always taking care of me, for taking the time to look after me. I wish you good health as you are adapting to your new life in spain. Please remember to wear in winter and keep cool in the summer. Hopefully one day, when you come back to Singapore, we will meet again. Love always, Mei.

speeches in sentosa

hello all! i havent been blogging for ages obviously, so today, i have decided to blog... i am currently "overseas" in Sentosa. staying at the club onedegree15. supposedly relaxing... however, i would'nt exactly call doing debate speeches and reading economist articles relaxing. Why am i doing this you ask? Well, there is competition next saturday. Round 1: we are opp against HCI. Round 2: impromtu. Round 3: We are prop, against RI. GO SNDEBATE!!!!!!<3333 oh, we are having this the bangs deal thingy, of which if we win all 3 preliminary rounds, we are all going to get haircuts, in this case we are going to cut our fringes into bangs! hm... i wonder. tomorrow morning im going to underwater world and then head over to vivocity to watch madagascar 3 with my cousins! yay! hope i get to stay one more night in sentosa!!!!!!!!! :)

its the holidays!!!! lols but who would sleep at 12 at wake up at 8 in the morning?

Hello all!!!! first of , yes it is the holidays but as usual we have training every mon, tues and thurs! but who cares, its the holidays! lols since its the hols, i can pretty much do what i want, can spend more time blogging, practicing for vocals and drums as well as working on my commonwealth essay [etcetc]! lols! i am super happy that i'll be going to japan again this year! but next week i'll be leaving for china on the 7th and i'll be back on the 13th. just in time for prize presentation in school on the 14th and the ld play!!!!! anyone hu is interested please leave a comment! but i only have one ticket left for sale so if you want it hurry up! its 5 dollars for one ticket. if you find out tht i'm sold out of tickets, you can ask any ld girl that you know, hopefully they'll have tickets left. the play is inspired by A Midsummers Night Dream by Shakespeare, its called "Stupid Cupid"!!!!!!! so hurry up and get a ticket, it is an original ld production so you wouldn't want to miss it! lols, im advertising for ld! haha. oh and i just bought a lovely moleskin notebook yesterday!!!!!! gonna fill it with lots of random stuff and ranting lols! :) OH! and i recently pierced my ears again, so now i have 2 holes on each ear!!!!! and my mum made me and my bro draw out this timetable where i have to wake up at 7.45 am! crazy right?lols

busy weekend and no, i didnt go for alumni camp

well, today was quite busy. i just realised that i changed my clothes like 5 times. first time: changed out of my pjs to go to my grandmas house for a birthday breakfast. second: went back home to change for my auntie's wedding. third: came home showered and changed in to home clothes. fourth: getting ready to go out for grandmas birthday dinner. fifth: came home changed in pjs. besides all that, its been quite a happy saturday!!!!! got to see my cousins and all, watched a wedding service [the service was super nice in a small methodist church], had a nice dinner with the family. tomorrow will have the wedding dinner and yes i am supposed to wear a dress. i'll be wearing black actually. but never mind, considering that during the wedding service, the groom's mum wore a glittery black dress. will have another big dinner tomorrow. right now im sitting in front of the com typing away and being very full from steamed fish, birthday bun and cake and suckling pig. LOLS! can't wait for monday to come!!! cheryl and yvette coming over for sleepover!!!!!!! whee! shall update on that soon! but for now, im off to bed! NIGHT EVERYONE! <3>

2016 summer olympics!!!!!!!!

LOLS! you might be wondering why i'm am anticipating the 2016 summer olypics rather than the 2012 summer olympics in london. well....thats because TOKYO IS ONE OF THE CANDIDATE CITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
